how we're paid.

You pay the supplier's price as normal. Our fee is capped, flat, and paid by the supplier — not charged to you directly. We show it to you before you switch. Never buried in your rate. Never a mystery.

paid by the supplier. shown to you first.

When you switch energy through us, the supplier pays us a capped flat fee. You are not invoiced separately — the fee sits inside the rate, as it does with all brokers. The difference: we tell you the exact amount before you agree to anything. It never varies with usage once quoted, and it's always confirmed before the switch.

Exact fee amounts are confirmed when we send you prices, before you switch. The fee is paid to us by the supplier, not via a separate invoice from you. You see it clearly, agree to it, then switch (or don't. No pressure.).

the hidden broker trick.

Most brokers claim they're free. They're not. They just hide it. Typically 2 to 5 pence per unit, tucked inside a "blended" rate that you're quoted as one clean-looking number. You never see what the broker takes.

Example

Supplier's raw rate: 22p/kWh. Broker's hidden cut: 3p/kWh. You're quoted 25p/kWh with no mention of the 3p. On 50,000 kWh that's £1,500 you never agreed to.

What we don't do

  • No hidden uplift on your unit rate
  • No blended rates with the commission buried inside
  • No fee that grows the more you use
  • No surprise margin on standing charges
  • No phone calls to pressure you into switching

Water and waste

Water and waste fee arrangements differ by contract and supplier. If we find savings, we'll explain our specific fee structure for those utilities clearly before you agree to anything. Same principle: shown upfront, agreed before proceeding.

why we publish this.

We believe businesses make better decisions with all the facts. Publishing the fee structure removes the conflict of interest. Our goal isn't to maximise a hidden margin. It's to find you a competitive rate, process it cleanly, and leave your phone alone.
